【Content Introduction】

     This course mainly introduces an open source discrete event simulator, NS2, to discuss the computer modeling and simulation of complex system. Integereted with practical applications, the simulation processs and methods of some routing protocols in wireless sensor networks are introduced and analysed. This course will be organized mainly by discussion, and both theories and practices are focused..

      Wang Xiaoming was born in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, P.R.China, in 1964. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer theory software from Northwest University, P.R.China, in 2005. Dr. Wang is currently a professor in College of Computer Science, Shaanxi Normal University, and he is also a research professor at Georgia State University, USA, from 2007 to 2008. His current research interests include network security, access control, pervasive computing, workflow management system and system dynamics. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Key Research Project of Ministry of Education of China. Dr. Wang has authored and coauthored more than 40 publications in journal, books and international conference proceedings.
